HARMONI

Harmonically Adaptive Real-Time Multimodal Output for Neural Integration

A portable platform that combines facial, vocal, and physiological signals to estimate emotional state, then creates personalized music and visuals for stress and anxiety support.

HARMONI uses an 11-model ensemble, multimodal fusion, retrieval-augmented personalization, agentic orchestration, and generative music and visuals. Four controlled experiments examined emotion recognition, personalization, adaptation, and AI-generated versus human-composed music.

SmartStrings

Affordable, real-time violin feedback for independent practice

A web application that listens to violin performance, tracks posture, and provides immediate visual and haptic feedback.

SmartStrings grew from a question I asked when violin lessons stopped during lockdown: could software understand a performance in a way that helps a student improve? The system combines audio analysis, 3D landmark tracking, a web interface, and Arduino-based haptic feedback.
